Hello # (englisch)

Wir sollten chriscat dankbar sein für sein Engagement. Die Verhaltensweise hier im Forum würde ich als typisch deutsch bezeichnen. Ich kenne dies von keinem meiner internationalen Foren, in dem ich aktiv bin.

Ich bin derjenige, der erstmals hier den Hinweis auf die HelloX App gegeben hat und seinerzeit aber keinen Link auf das andere Forum gemacht habe. Somit ist mir eine Verbannung erspart geblieben. Ich finde es nur peinlich, wie hier verfahren wird.

We should be grateful to chriscat for his commitment. I would describe the behavior here in the forum as typically German. I don't know this from any of the international forums in which I am active.

I am the one who first made the reference to the HelloX app here and did not link to the other forum at the time. So I was spared a ban. I just find it embarrassing how things are done here.

Das sehe ich auch so. Deine Kritik ist wirklich peinlich und unangebracht. Die posts in diesem thread waren bisher angenehm zu lesen.

Typisch deutsch? Merkste selbst? Du meldest dich in einem deutschen Forum an und kommst danach mit Beleidigung der deutschen, was genau meinst du eigentlich, Werte? Hast du die Regeln nicht gelesen oder sind diese dir einfach egal? Das spricht für sich.

Diesen komplett in englisch gefassten Post lässt man besser unkommentiert. Das ist ein ganz mieser Stil und ich nehme das Abo für diesen thread nun heraus. Andimp3 hat lediglich aufgeklärt. Sein Supporter Titel ist seine persönliche Sache. Danke dafür und wirklich traurig das du dich von Menschen angreifen lassen mußt die genau nix beitragen außer Ärger!

BraBUSfahrer, genauso sehe ich es auch. Auch ich werde mich nicht mehr hier aufregen und diesen Thread einfach meiden. Es ist einfach nur unhöflich gegenüber Menschen, die der Englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind und wie in einem Fall hier im Forum, von dem ich persönlich erklärt bekommen habe, dass er nicht weiß wie man einen Übersetzer bedient.

Meidet einfach den Thread, wenn euch das Englisch so stört und lasst denen die sich nicht über die Sprache aufregen, einfach den Spass hier den Entwicklungen zu folgen.

Diese Beurteilungen der "Unhöflichkeit" sind so unnötig.

Der thread hat 'englisch' im Titel. Es ist also klar, was einen erwartet.

chriscat back to topic. I hope we can learn more, maybe even see the development of an android app as an outcome of your sharing here.

I think a really important thing is that the creators of this app have been very open and collaborative. For example sharing their discoveries on what the various combination of codes from the API mean in regard to the charging status so others can also build their own things on that knowledge. This is great for the whole Smart community compared with hoarding knowledge etc to try and keep a competitive advantage.

I can see this is perhaps also where there is a bit of a clash of attitude as this forum prefers to be a bit more of a walled garden (also fine, everyone can make their choice how to run their business or community) and is perhaps why some actions took place that were not well received here versus in other communities. Most important is that the app creators had no bad intentions and I think are just more used to being open and collaborative.

I hope the bad experiences here won’t discourage anyone from working on things for the benefit of all smart users and hopefully now all the grievances have been aired things can move forward more positively.

the same way as Marco helped us for the authentication I can in turn help someone else who started working on another project. Like Home Assistant.

HA was the original project but Clement joined when he saw the API I prepared.

I’m glad he did! We use that app daily. It’s so much easier to start pre conditioning and unlocking the car when we left the keys inside.

I look forward to adding shortcuts and live activities.

Something I can share is the proxy image for car images. We take them from the store and cache them on our web server before they disappear next year when new models will replace them.

Thanks to Marco I also made a proxy cache for the model names for cars. He provided the older models names already gone from the store.

Thanks the the app they can also start some work based on the JSON we share in the raw Data view
